Old transcript site closing down

Wikispaces is closing down on 31st July 2018, which means that the transcripts of various anime, which were hosted there, will be lost, including those of Code Geass. (old site: season 1, season 2)

As Code Geass fan I did not want to let that happen, so I copied the transcripts of all of the episodes to here in an attempt to preserve them.

Transcripts season 1: “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”

Transcripts season 2: “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2″

Credit goes to all the people who worked on the old site.

The official Bandai subs for both season 1 and season 2 can be downloaded from this discordapp link.  It’s a 7z archive file which contains .ass files  (can be opened with wordpad and the like). The sub files contain timestamps.

(Aside from that, you may also be interested in the blog post about the ending of R2, as it goes over all of the official statements and evaluates a certain popular fan theory. SPOILERS, obviously)

Analyzing the ending of Code Geass R2: a compilation of all the official statements and an evaluation of fan theories (“code theory”)

SPOILER WARNING: this post is about the ending of Code Geass and will contain spoilers about everything. It contains information of everything Code Geass related: season 1, season 2, interviews, the official guide book, “R3”, the blu-ray epilogue, the new movies, and so on. If it’s Code Geass related, it might be mentioned in here!

Now that the third and final of the new Code Geass movies has been released (in Japanese theaters), it’s a good opportunity to address the great debate which has surrounded the anime for over a decade: Lelouch, dead or alive?

For those who are unaware, there are several fan theories which assume that Lelouch has gained immortality at the end of the show and thus survived his death. But is this theory what actually happened or is it tinfoil?
Therefore I have made a post on reddit which compiled ALL the information we have, all the official statements, from old interviews to very recent tweets of a few weeks ago, the official guide book, the remade epilogue from the official blu-ray, etc, everything nicely backed up with sources and links and pictures, and after that I cover the various “code theories” and go over all of their points and see how they hold up against the lore of the show and the official information.

Gathering all of this information resulted in a LARGE text.
Due to its size and the character limit for reddit posts I was forced to split the work in several smaller posts. So I opted for a “book like” structure with chapters and and cross links between the chapters.
The main body contains Part 0 (“why?”), the TLDR, and Part 3 (“Final Conclusions”), and also an overview of the discussed points of the split off chapters Part 1 and Part 2, and as such also functions as an index to the whole.
Every part can be accessed from that index, and each split off post has links to the index and to the next and previous post.

People are free to spread this information around, even without crediting me. I don’t care much for things such a credit. Just make sure you don’t break the links if you copy parts of it.

Without further ado, here’s the link to the main body/index.
I hope people will do the effort of reading it all and find it enjoyable and/or enlightening.
